How to increase your chance of Fertility, the importance of a Pre-pregnancy Detox, and other tips for a healthy pregnancy.

If you are thinking about embarking on the pregnancy journey in the year of Ox, I would really recommend you think about a pre-pregnancy detox. This is meant to increase your chance not only to conceive but also to give a healthy start in life to your future little one.

Today, babies are born already with a toxic load as toxic chemicals and pollutants are passed through the umbilical cord. There is more research nowadays demonstrating that children with chronic conditions (such as allergies, asthma, eczema, autoimmune disease, autism,) are on the rise and can be traced back to environmental toxin exposure of the mother pre and post-conception. It is also noted that a mother with a too high toxic burden (be it physical, emotional, or energetically) can have difficulty conceiving as she may not be “fit enough” to become pregnant and/or sustain her pregnancy.

So, here are so thoughts and tips of what you can do: Ea duo alii lorem atomorum, in nam dicam docendi, vim et aperiam definiebas vim.

  • About 3 months or before conception, you may start a deep cleanse to release some toxins you have accumulated in your body as the process of egg production (oogenesis) and sperm production (spermatogenesis) are starting way before conception! Also, we would like the detox process to be completed before pregnancy as during the detox, the toxins are released in the mother system before being excreted and we understand that the fetus is very sensitive to toxins passing through the umbilical cord.
  • 1 to 3 months before conception, start a multivitamin supplement, some probiotics and most importantly some folic acid supplementation. Folic Acid is very important to reduce the neural tube defects in the embryo and is not generally enough available in our diet and not very well absorbed.
  • Eat organically as much as you can (especially the dirty dozen vegetables on the published list). Watch out for any kind of toxins in your environment (beauty products, cleaning products, quality of water…).
  • Look for nutrient deficiency and balance your diet appropriately: a diet with too high sugar, not enough quality fat or protein are not advised before and during pregnancy, as these essential nutrients provide the right building blocks to build healthy hormones, and everything the baby needs.
  • Minimize any kind of inflammation, allergies or intolerances such as gluten.
  • Workout with your doctor how you can minimise your medication exposure.
  • Minimise your level of stress as cortisol can interfere in your fertility and the development of your baby.
  • If it is possible, resolve with your close relationships any pending emotional issues, conflicts of interests, unaligned agendas, traumas,…; there is no scientific research really on this so you may have to believe my words and my clinical experience that unprocessed negative emotions can potentially prevent you from having a successful pregnancy journey.

About 84% of women get pregnant naturally within a year of trying. However, if you feel you need to reach out for support to prepare and to move happily through your pregnancy journey, please feel free to contact me, I would be really happy to help.
