Food is energy. It can make us vibrant and help us to climb our daily mountains or it can plummet us slowly and surely. Once our energy is dysregulated, our body-mind-spirit are affected. However, through Functional Nutrition, we have the power to influence easily and rapidly what we are made of and how we can function at an optimal level.
Catherine went into Functional Nutrition as she believes that our diseases are often rooted in cutting ourselves from what nourishes us. She has created essential nutrition programs to help our system to reset and she sees Nutrition as a long-term lifestyle rather than a diet.
She absolutely loves food, and she does not believe in depriving ourselves of what makes us happy and vibrant. Rather, the right nutrition should energize our body with pleasure and Joy.
HOW A NUTRITION COACHING APPOINTMENT LOOKS LIKE?
The first session is around 75 min, for which we will start to uncover your relationship with food and your body. We will discuss where you are coming from and understand the “why” behind your eating concerns. We will develop a plan based on your goals and identify the areas that you would like to focus on. The follow-up sessions will be around 50 minutes and will focus on introducing strategies to help you keep progressing towards your goals, working through any blockages or difficulties, and revisiting your plan if necessary. The follow up sessions will normally be planned 3 weeks apart. Nutrition Programs, supplements and/or Kinesiology can be offered to propel you forward and to assist you to achieve your goals if required. After the sessions, you will receive an e-mail with the summary of what we discussed and any applicable handouts.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL BE NEEDED?
This will depend on your goals, readiness to change, your environment, and where you currently stand. A session plan will be discussed during your first session with Catherine.
